Guest Code of Conduct Policy

In order to continue making JAGS tournaments enjoyable for everyone, the JAGS Junior Tour requires all players, parents and guests to adhere to a set of guidelines known as the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct is to be followed throughout the tournament.

"In golf, customs of etiquette and decorum are just as important as rules governing play." It is appropriate for parents and spectators to applaud successful strokes, but in order to secure the spirit of the game, we ask parents and spectators to please adhere to the following guidelines: Please note that if any of the following guidelines are perceived as broken by an JAGS Junior Tour official,
the player may be subject to penalty.
 

·         Cell phones are to be in the off position during tournament play. 

·         Parents and spectators may not communicate with or give advice to any players during tournament play.

·        Parent and spectators may not ask player(s) what they scored on a hole during tournament play.

·         Language:  English is to be the spoken language during tournament play by all players, parents, spectators and tournament officials.  Player 1st offense: 2 stroke penalty, 2nd offense: DQ.  Parent/Spectator/Tournament Official: On course privileges revoked.

·         Parents or spectators must abide by the posted dress code as written in the Parent/Guest Dress Code Policy and if in violation, will not be permitted on the course.

·         Parents or spectators may not involve themselves in any decision regarding any situation or rulings during tournament play, unless asked by a JAGS Junior Tour tournament official.  Spectators should stay one shot ahead of the group they are following. This allows spectators to follow errant shots and help identify where the ball comes to rest. Spectators are allowed to aide in the search for lost golf balls and may forecaddy.

·         Spectators should stay on cart paths. In the absence of cart paths, we ask that spectators stay in the rough. Please stay off fairways, tees and greens.  Spectators may not rent or ride in carts during tournament play. 

·         Parents and spectators may not enter any protest or invoke their opinion(s) at any time including but not limited to any penalty strokes given for slow play or rules violations.

·        Spectators are allowed to carry medicine, umbrellas, etc. however the use of drugs,  consumption of alcohol, smoking or chewing tobacco products while spectating at a JAGS Junior Tour tournament is prohibited.

·        Parents and guest who enter the golf course during tournament play do so at their own risk. It is clearly understood that the Golf facility and it’s employees, the JAGS Junior Tour organization and all of it members, directors, agents, escorts, interns, volunteers, employees, owners, successors and assignees are to be free from all liability, claims, or other forms of legal action, including cost arising there from, against any incident which results in or arise out of any loss, property, or personal (death included), which may be sustained by the spectator during any JAGS Junior Tour event.

·        Children under the age of 8 may not be a spectator on the course at a JAGS Junior Tour tournament.  Children between the ages of 8 – 17 may spectate only if they are accompanied by an adult.

·         For your personal safety, we ask you exercise caution at all times. When inclement weather moves into the area, the JAGS Junior Tour will suspend play by sounding airhorns. Accordingly, you should seek shelter immediately. The JAGS Junior Tour staff will evacuate players from the course first, and then spectators.

·         The JAGS Junior Tour staff may assess a penalty based on the severity of the violation. If a serious breach has occurred, the spectator may be asked to leave the facility or the spectator may not be permitted to attend another JAGS Junior Tour event.

·        Parents / Guest who would like to be a spectator during tournament play will be required to read and sign a release form at the official tournament check-in table prior to be permitted on the course.
