Testimonials

"As parents of a junior golfer looking for competitive golf for our home schooled student, we found the JAGS junior tour as a great fit, especially for off-season (Sep-May) competitions. Since our junior golfer is not eligible for CIF competitions (home schooling rule), we joined a number of California golf tours. Friends recommended entering JAGS as a non-member to give it a try for a few events. In each JAGS event our junior golfer found excellent competition at a variety of challenging golf courses and after a few tournaments experienced a JAGS victory and an associated tournament exemption into an AJGA event."

As the parents of a son that has interest in playing golf at the college level, the JAGS Tour has been a great introduction to competitive golf. This tour offers the player an opportunity to develop their skills, meet fellow high school golfers and play a variety of courses in Southern California. Cindy and John provide a nurturing environment treating the kids as if they were their own son or daughter. For all the right reasons, we highly endorse this Tour and its mission.

I am one of many parents that can honestly say that Junior Amateur Golf Scholars (JAGS) is one of the finest year round golf programs available for our young golfers. Our son has been involved in the program since 2002 and has enjoyed every tournament in which he has participated.

JAGS is a professional organization whose emphasis on emphasizing the cornerstone values of integrity, leadership and sportsmanship sets it apart from so many others.  While many organizations recognize athletes uniquely for their physical talents, JAGS also encourages and applauds our athletes for their academic successes as well.

Founders John and Cindy Warren have their heart and soul poured into every aspect of the JAGS program to ensure its continued success and the success of all JAGS members both in golf and in life.

Our son has definitely benefited from playing JAGS tournaments. He has played SCPGA and AJGA tournaments for years, and JAGS has proven to be a very enjoyable experience for him and for us parents as well. The JAGS tournament applications are easy to fill out and it is great to know our son will actually be in the tournament, as long as the application is turned in by the due date. The tournaments are run efficiently and there are always plenty of officials to assist the players with rulings and pace of play issues. Our son really enjoys the drinks and snacks the tournament provides the players. The competition is always very good and my son has been able to meet players from Texas and Hawaii, as well as Southern California. The academic requirements provide added incentive for our son to do well in school as well as golf, and academic achievements are acknowledged in the JAGS newsletters and other communications. Our son feels as though he has made many friendships through JAGS and we highly recommend the program to anyone interested in tournament golf. The tournament committee has consistently shown that at JAGS it really is "all about the kids."

As a high school golf coach, I am always looking for ways to keep my players involved in outside competition to help strengthen their games.  JAGS is the ideal junior golf tour to recommend for them.  The competition is good, the variety of courses is challenging, the cost is reasonable and each event is wonderfully organized.  The thing I appreciate the most is that JAGS reinforces the academic efforts of its tour members.  I have always emphasized “academics first” with my teams and it’s nice to see a junior golf tour that does the same.
