The JAGS Junior tour is committed to providing junior golfers with the opportunity to participate in monthly nationally-ranked, 36-hole no-cut tournaments.   Promote a commitment for academic achievement so they are ready for success in higher education. Teach players the importance of demonstrating the highest levels of integrity, honesty and sportsmanship when playing golf and throughout their entire life.

    2008 Academic Scholarship Winners Announced

    Congratulations to the following Gold and Silver members for being selected to receive a 2008 JAGS Junior Tour Academic Scholarship:

    Mark Alvarez will be attending
      University of California, Riverside
    Katelin Dilger will be attending
      University of Illinois
    Hasan Doxey will be attending
      University of Oregon
    Arturo Saro will be attending
      Hamton University in Virginia

    These recipients were selected for their outstanding high school academics, involvement in leadership programs and service to their communities.

The following tournaments will be Golfweek ranked:

February –
2009 President’s Junior Cup

 
April –
2009 Inland Empire Junior Championship

The above listed tournaments will be ranked by Golfweek providing all requirements set forth by Golfweek are met.

The AJGA will recognize the 2008 President’s Junior Cup and the 2009 Inland Empire Junior Championship with the following PBE status:
 
Boy’s & Girl’s Champion –
1 AJGA Tournament Exemption
Boy’s & Girl’s top 5 Finishers –
1 AJGA Performance Star

The AJGA will recognize the Boy and Girl Champions with 1 Tournament Exemption in the following tournaments:

2008 Long Beach Jr. Open
2009 Hooper Memorial


The AJGA will recognize the Boy and Girl Champions with 1 AJGA Performance Star in the following tournaments:

2008 Rose Bowl Jr. Classic
2009 Memorial Jr. at ASU Karsten

CIF - Southern Section allows high school team members to play as individuals during their school golfing season:

  Girls (8/08 thru 11/08)
  Boys (2/09 thru 6/09)


in non-school matches and tournaments providing the player does not wear any school logo clothing, hat, windshirt, etc. or use their high school golf bag.

Change out your school golf bag to a non school bag before you play in any outside school tournament during your high school playing season.
