The JAGS Tour is an academic junior golf tour. Players approved for the Advance Level Gold membership have agreed to maintain a 3.0 grade point during the current golfing season and submit their grades at the completion of each quarter or semester grading period. Grade point averages are verified by reviewing a single report card or a school transcript showing a student’s overall grade point average. JAGS Tour will take the highest grade point average from either a single official grading period or from a player’s overall gpa on their school transcript.

High school grades for Honor courses will be weighted and calculated as shown below:

A= 4.5 pts., B= 3.5 pts., C= 2.5 pts., D= 1 pts., F= 0 pts.

High school non-weighted grades and all grades received for junior high and elementary level students will be calculated as shown:

A= 4 pts., B= 3 pts., C= 2 pts., D= 1 pts., F= 0 pts.

Should a student’s single semester or quarter grades falls below the required 3.0 gpa, a complete school transcript will be accepted for overall gpa calculation purposes.

Should a student’s single semester or quarter grades fall below the required 3.0 gpa and their school transcript reports their over-all gpa is also below a 3.0 gpa, the player will be placed on Academic Probation.

Gold members placed on Academic Probation may submit additional grades during the current grading period (progress grades) within 5 days after receipt for consideration to be temporarily removed from academic probation until final grades are received at the end of the grading period.

Please note: Players placed on academic probation may sign up for tournaments anytime while on academic probation at the Bronze tournament entry fee level (no gpa required) until their gpa is back to required status of 3.0 or higher and approved by JAGS Tour. Bronze level entry fees received for upcoming tournaments for players on academic probation will not be credited back to the Gold level if the entry fee is received and processed before updated grades are remitted and the player removed from academic probation. JAGS Tour does closely monitor and verifies entry fees prior to approval to confirm the proper entry fee level was selected according to the player’s membership level and gpa status. JAGS Tour reserves the right to change an entry fee to the proper fee level if deemed necessary for proper membership level or academic reasons.
