Reporting Grades and GPA Calculation Procedures

The JAGS Junior Tour is an academic junior golf tour. Players approved for a Gold or Silver membership have agreed to maintain a 3.0 grade point during the current golfing season and submit their grades at the completion of each quarter or semester grading period. Grade point averages are verified by reviewing a single report card or a school transcript showing a student’s overall grade point average. JAGS Junior Tour will take the highest grade point average from either a single official grading period or from a player’s overall gpa on their school transcript.

JAGS Junior Tour calculates grade point averages as follows:

High school grades for AP & IB college courses are weighted and calculated as shown below:

                                  A= 5 pts., B= 4 pts., C= 3 pts., D= 1 pts., F= 0 pts.

High school grades for Honor courses will be weighted and calculated as shown below:

A= 4.5 pts., B= 3.5 pts., C= 2.5 pts., D= 1 pts., F= 0 pts.

High school non-weighted grades and all grades received for junior high and elementary level students will be calculated as shown:

A= 4 pts., B= 3 pts., C= 2 pts., D= 1 pts., F= 0 pts.

JAGS Junior Tour does closely monitor and verifies entry fees prior to approval to confirm the proper entry fee level was selected according to the player’s membership level and gpa status.
