Jack B. Hooper was kind and gentle man
who believed in junior golf and was the grandfather of JAGS’
founder Cindy Warren.
An excellent golfer, Jack never allowed a bad
bounce, miss hit, shank, hook, slice or excuse ruining a day on
the links. Players were guaranteed to have a great time if they
were in Jack’s group because of his fun and positive attitude. He
always said, “Players who showed their anger on the course, only
shows the lack of respect and integrity they have for the game.”
Mr. Hooper followed junior golf through his
great-grandson, Kyle,
and looked forward to the Thursday’s local
newspaper to read about upcoming golf events and the success of
junior players. He was amazed how far junior players could hit
the ball and how low their scores had become. He never was able
to hit the ball as far as junior golfers do today.
Because of his integrity, honesty, positive
attitude, love of the game and his devotion to his family and
friends, JAGS is proud to honor Mr. Jack B. Hooper at this 4th
Annual Memorial Junior Tournament.
